Matt Abts is a well respected, versatile, American drummer, best known for his time with Gov’t Mule, but that depends on who you ask.
Starting out in high school and relocating throughout the country, Abts got his share of playing time in many different bands. All which created a very talented musician. His most notable tenure is his time spent with Gov’t Mule, alongside his close friends Allen Woody and Warren Haynes. Matt Abt also rocked the stage in the bands x2 and Deep Fried with his close friend Johnny Neel.
