The great George Porter Jr. won a Grammy Lifetime Achievement award as a bassist for The Meters, a band that was formed in the 60s. Over his career he has played in multiple bands and collaborated with many, many, many other extremely talented musicians and artists. Notable to The Meters, is the Funky Meters with bandmate Art Neville and joined with Brian Stoltz. Stoltz also joined George Porter Jr. in the supergroup Deep Fried with Johnny Neel and Matt Abts.
